final flow

ruby droplets kiss linoleum
drawing together
to make a pool of red
diamonds drop into the circle
dancing, swirling
bleeding a pinkish blur

the gem pool glows gaudy
glittering
in fluorescent light
dim shadows look on
laughing
in delight

darkness conquers
beauty flees
jewels waste
life ends its song
