[a poem of mine today]

Priceless?

Are we truly just enough
When we pay tribute to the debt
Of resources we sow like stones
Into our wishing wells?

Donated for tomorrows
That we scarcely get to see
Without a price attached to them
Or spent on speculations
As we race towards the bottom

So were we really credible
With excessive insufficiency
To overflow prosperity
And float like currency?

Decreasing the disparity
As cheaply as our labours
While the poorest change we spare
Is abundantly expensive
To significantly gain.
