Ode to a Ruler

Ah, rulers, how we love thee
wood, plastic, metal agree
when lines are straight
and when they're curvy.
Yet in a world that's topsy-turvy
no truth exists, "to each his own"
Objectivity? Wind-blown.
No statement is always true
(except for that last one, quiet, you.)
Your morality can go to hell.
And as for the world? Well...
Whe we see it needs a fix,
we go and blame the
measuring sticks.
